The Robe of Righteousness is a premium terry cotton robe that acts as a daily reminder of Christ’s righteousness, love and forgiveness.
Hidden inside are bible verses to remind you that you are covered by God’s righteousness and love.
Being clothed in righteousness (Isaiah 61:1) because of what Jesus did for us, is a foundation of the Christian faith.
Even if you don’t feel loved at times (who doesn’t), the robe is a reminder of the agape love of God for you.
When you put it on every morning, it reminds you of this wonderful truth, even when you’re not really feeling it.
You just need to get up and do what you normally do in the morning and your mind is directed to the Lord because of what you are wearing.
Mornings are a time when our thoughts are so important.
If we allow any adverse thoughts into our mind when we first get up, that can affect the rest of our day.
When you put on the robe of Christ’s righteousness in the morning, the chance of unhelpful thinking is reduced.
Evenings are an equally important time for your mind to be at peace. and not on worrisome thoughts.
Stress and worry are what keep a lot of people awake at night.
Wearing the robe with these reminders close to you will improve that.
The bible has many examples where God instructs his people to use, or make physical objects to help us remember him:
There aren’t many items you can buy, that on the one hand are a quality product, while also providing built-in reminders of God’s love. This makes it quite unique.
Wearing the righteous robe will keep your mind on the Lord more often, thereby making your days happier and more blessed. That’s a beautiful thing.
The idea for these robes, came from God, I believe.
Though I had been a Christian many years, I frequently forgot about God during my daily comings and goings.
I might be in my office, involved with projects and deadlines to meet, or maybe I’m simply driving in heavy traffic, and I’m so caught up with getting somewhere that the idea of talking to God, acknowledging him, or thanking him, does not come to mind.
And I could see how this tendency to try and do daily life with reduced awareness of God, had become a bad habit.
Then I discovered in the Bible how God had instructed his people numerous times to make physical items, or set aside physical activities, or make memorials, simply to help them remember him in the future.
In the book of Deuteronomy, God instructs the people of Israel nine times “not to forget” the Lord your God.

So, if God in his infinite wisdom had such a strong emphasis on making things, or doing things to help us remember, there had to be a reason.
And the reason was simple – we have in an innate propensity to forget God
.
It’s difficult to believe this is true, but human history confirms it to be so.
Many years ago, I sold commercial coffee machines on commission.
So, if I didn’t sell any, we didn’t have any income as a family.
A prolonged period went by where I hadn’t sold any machines and our financial situation was getting desperate.
I remember having almost no food in the house and only enough cereal for one person’s breakfast the next day.
I had been praying but had no result.
The next day I had a sales appointment that I was hoping would bring a sale.
But unfortunately, I left the business premises despondent and with no sale.
While driving back to my home office, I became quite depressed to the point where I pulled over to the side of the road and began to cry out to God for an answer.
After some time, I felt the Lord ask me: Do you trust me?
My answer was quick. ‘Yes Lord, what other choice do I have?’
By that, I meant I have no one, or nowhere else to go, and I do trust you, but I’m finding this hard.
Feeling slightly encouraged because I felt the Lord has spoken to me, I carried on home.
I stopped at the gate to check the mailbox, and to my surprise there was a large cheque in there. Somebody had made a decision to buy a coffee machine from an earlier presentation, and had mailed me the cheque.
I was ecstatic.
I knew it was God’s answer to my prayer just a few minutes earlier.
I remember heading off to the supermarket that night and being able to buy all those groceries.
I felt rich – it was a strange feeling.
I felt so blessed after having such empty cupboards for so long, and now they were full.
I will never forget that.
Now the bad part of the story.
After God had provided, I felt he told me to get a small plaque made up and attach it to our own coffee machine at home as our own reminder of what God did for our family that day, just like he had done so many times in the bible.
But I never did it!
I felt so ashamed.

Update April 2026: It’s been a long time since this coffee machine incident, and I feel embarrassed and ashamed for not being obedient to God. While writing this, I was reminded of the severity of not obeying God, so I decided to do it now.
I recently purchased a plaque (see photo) to attach to our coffee machine at home, with the following scripture on it:
My God shall supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus- Philippians 4:19.
Remembergod.net was birthed from that idea – to help others remember God more often by using physical objects as reminders.
The robe of righteousness mentioned in Isaiah is a metaphor.
It symbolises us being “covered over by God” after being uncovered by sin in the garden of Eden.
Now whenever I make a coffee, I will be reminded of God’s glorious and unending provision. And I have put right one disobedient act in my life.
Because of what Christ did on the cross we regained that righteousness, and we are reconciled back to him.
The robe is a reminder of this wonderful offer that God has made available to us.
These two scriptures are printed on the attached pocket pull out:

Of course, this righteousness is a gift.
I am frequently overwhelmed with gratitude when I think what a glorious and humbling thing God did for us.
I repeatedly ask myself the rhetorical question: “why did you do it?”
And, “you didn’t have to do it- to put yourself through such an agonising death just so you could invite us back to you”.
How can we thank God enough when we think of this?
